I had never heard of CrossFit before my husband Brandon started going in Fall 2009. However, when he started going to a CrossFit gym, it was one of the best things that he could have done for his health & to get him back in shape. I will admit, I loved that it was helping him, but I wasn't sure it was the 'right' place for me. I wasn't in horrible shape but by no means was I in amazing shape. I had played sports growing up & considered myself someone who had a great metabolism growing up. Then, I got married & settled into the 'comfort' foods that most newly married couples do---Pasta dishes, macaroni & cheese, fast food, take out, etc. When we got pregnant with our first child (Madison) I used the excuse that I could eat what I wanted & not worry because I had a great metabolism & it would come off after I delivered our first child. However, I soon learned that most of the weight came off after that but not all of it & boy did my body change! We got pregnant again (With Makenna) when our older daughter was 13 months old & I was determined this time not to gain as much weight. I didn't but my body still changed after I delivered her & all of a sudden I had the 'Dreaded Mommy Belly'! :(

Brandon & I decided to start Weight Watchers which was a great thing to kick start our weight loss. I even joined a local fitness center & started working out by doing some of their classes. However, I felt like I was going thru the motions & didn't truly enjoy it. I wanted something else that would push me to achieve some more goals & start getting rid of my Mommy Belly. I decided to join CrossFit, get my Level 1, AND we decided to open CrossFit Prevail & it was the best decision not only for me but for our family!  As I got into better shape my body responded by us getting pregnant with our third child (Chase) & after talking to my doctor & having a high risk pregnancy with him we discussed how I could safely work out thru the pregnancy.  It was the best decision I could have made as my labor & delivery with Chase was the easiest of all 3!  I was also back in the gym (Still modifying some work outs) 10 days after I had him!  I now feel lost if I don't get my work outs in or am not in the gym coaching our Athletes!  Every time I am there I push myself to work a bit harder & surprise myself more than I ever thought I could!

As a Coach my job is to push you, challenge you, & let you have fun every time you walk into the gym.  Your hour at the gym should be stress free & time to yourself!  Everyone deserves that time & energy put into making their body a stronger, more active, & healthier version of themselves!  I am loud & you will definitely hear me cheering for you thru your work out while giving you form/technique tips to help better yourself!  

I can't wait to share my knowledge with you & support you on whatever your journey may be & help you reach your goals!
